FORTALEZA HOTEL (narrative)

The life of Pilar, a young maid working at a hotel in Fortaleza, is turned upside-down when her daughter is taken hostage by a ruthless drug gang. To save her from certain death, Pilar must pay off an old debt. As she tries to raise the money, she crosses paths with Shin, a middle-aged and wealthy hotel guest from South Korea who has come to take her dead husband’s body back to Seoul. Pilar soon sees that the foreign woman is her only hope of freeing her daughter. Caught up in a web of goodwill and deceit, Pilar and Shin surmount their cultural differences and develop intense complicity able to change their lives forever.
